Julissa is a lawyer with a clear sense of direction. Her entrepreneurial vocation comes from her upbringing; her parents, in addition to forming a very close-knit marriage, have been entrepreneurs their entire lives. It is therefore no coincidence that, since her teenage years, Julissa pursued two degrees simultaneously: Law, which is her passion, and Translation, as she already anticipated that this would facilitate her entry into other business markets and her understanding of their idiosyncrasies.

She is convinced that modern life requires not only constant updating, but also reinvention. For this reason, each stage of her life is a dynamic process of renewal—much like what happens, or should happen, in the life of companies, which, if they do not continuously reinvent themselves in increasingly shorter cycles, are destined to disappear.

She has never conceived her relationship with companies as mere advisory work, but rather as a form of accompaniment that compels her to stay two steps ahead of business goals and of the entrepreneurs’ own journey.

This same mindset has led her to step outside her comfort zone and delve into immigration law, an area in which she has gained extensive experience and built an impeccable track record.

Julissa practices several team sports, but above all, she has been an accomplished football player for the past 10 years. To the point that she not only plays, but has also helped formalize rules within her team to improve organization and coexistence, enabling them to compete effectively in tournaments.

She is convinced that team sports help people grow by instilling humility and reducing the desire for personal recognition.

When advising a client, my specialties complement each other in an integrated way. As a professional with multiple areas of expertise, I analyze the business dimension in greater detail from a labor perspective, and when advising a client solely in the labor field, I maintain a global business vision. In both cases, I have the opportunity to provide legal advice and solutions with a broad perspective and significant added value.

In your more than 15 years of experience, how has your education and professional background influenced your ability to advise companies in such diverse sectors as industry or services?

Throughout my career, my academic training combined with my professional experience has allowed me to enrich my professional know-how. Remaining in constant academic and professional updating enables me to acquire the necessary knowledge to provide efficient advice and achieve the best results.

What differentiating elements do you believe you bring to legal advisory services?

I believe my differentiating elements in legal advisory are based on several natural qualities of my professional profile. These include my openness to address new topics creatively and adapted to the client’s needs, my determination to face challenges and find effective solutions through negotiation and mediation, and my ethics, which are fundamental to developing a responsible legal practice.
